Saleem Welfare FoundationGilgit-Baltistan, PakistanDonateWhy this region
Baltistan’s communities are resourceful and closely connected. Yet steep terrain, seasonal isolation and concentrated services create barriers that require locally grounded solutions.

A hospital referral may also require transport, accommodation and lost income. School attendance can depend on fees, warm clothing and a safe place to live. Severe weather can interrupt work and food access at the same time.
SWF’s programmes are designed to meet these realities together. Medical support links with ambulance transport and attendant shelter. Household relief provides seasonal stability. Scholarships and residential orphanages create continuity that helps children and young people plan further ahead.
